Halifax Regional Police say they received a call around 9:20 p.m. on shots on Federal Avenue.
Police found the girl inside a house with a bullet wound. He was taken to hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the girl was inside the house at the time of the shooting, but police have no information to suggest she was the target.
An unoccupied vehicle was also hit outside.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are asking the public to provide information or videos about it.
