30 Year Old Man Dead After Vehicle Collides With Potato Truck In Eastern P.E.I.

Police were called to the scene in Cherry Valley around 10:30 a.m., RCMP Sgt. said Leanne Butler. The victim was in his car at the time of the collision. The driver of the truck was shaken but not injured, Butler said. The truck was carrying about 60,000 pounds of potatoes, Butler said. The section of the highway where the collision took place remained closed as police continue their investigations. Butler said the truck may have to stay there all weekend until the cargo is removed.
