The alert, issued around 6:40 p.m. and updated at 6:52 p.m., said the storm was located five kilometers east of Thedford and moving east at 55 km/h. Locations affected include: Parkhill, Lucan, Nairn, Ailsa Craig, Denfield, Elginfield, Sylvan, Bornish, Moray, Lieury, West McGillivray, Brinsley, Carlisle, Mooresville, Clandeboye, Southgate and Birr. Damaging winds of up to 100 km/h, large nickel-sized hail and locally heavy rainfall are also possible with the storm, the warning said. “This is a dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Elsewhere, severe thunderstorm warnings were in place for Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth. A severe thunderstorm warning was in place for a period in London-Middlesex, but it lifted around 5:10 p.m.
