Police were called to a bowling alley on Block 10000 of Tecumseh Road East near Forest Glade Drive at 1 a.m. Saturday after a group of people got into a fight. While on the road to the call, police said shots were heard and several people were injured. Police and EMS responded to the scene where all five victims were taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries. According to the police, it is believed that the incident came from a fight that took place inside the bowling alley earlier that night. Police also believe that between 20 and 25 people were in the area at the time of the shooting and one of the victims was a passer-by who left the bowling alley and did not take part in the clash. The Windsor Police Major Crime Unit is handling the investigation and believes there is only one suspect gunman who fled the scene in a car – a four-door, medium-sized pickup SUV, light-colored and similar to an Explorer Sport TRAC. The vehicle is believed to have traveled south on Forest Glade Drive, west on Ridge Road and then south on Esplanade Drive. According to the police, the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if seen. Investigators are asking anyone with information, including possible video surveillance or dashboard cameras from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 on Saturday morning, to contact the police.
