The 2010 Chevy Silverado truck, which was parked on the side of Range Road 281 near Nanton, was reported to police around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. The RCMP reports that investigators arrived shortly afterwards and found a man and a woman sleeping in the truck, which had “significant” damage. Both passengers had been issued arrest warrants and the RCMP says they were in possession of various quantities of illicit drugs, including suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. “Further investigation found that the suspect vehicle was involved in an accident of hitting and pulling earlier in the morning,” a press release said. Ashley Quilty, 27, without a fixed address, is charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a controlled substance and failure to remain at the scene. Clayton Jordan, 39, of Letbridge, faces multiple charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a tobacco grenade in defiance of a restraining order. Both Quilty and Jordan are scheduled to appear in Fort Macleod District Court on May 4.
