Super Spy Ryan is based on the 30 minute special of 2020, which is based on the multimedia content empire created by the popular YouTube channel “Ryan’s World”. “Ryan’s World”, which includes various child-friendly sketches starring pre-adolescent toy critic Ryan Kaji and his family, has 32.3 million subscribers at the time of writing. Super Spy Ryan was developed as a collaboration between the Kaji family and mobile game developers, Pocket Watch and Amber Studio. It is billed as “fun, safe for children, multiplayer game for ages 6-9 +.” It puts the player in the role of Ryan and their friends as they avoid traps, play competitive mini-games and recover stolen gifts from Ryan Packrat’s (fictional, moving) origins. The toy is explicitly designed with safety features for children. Players in the multiplayer online game are randomly assigned spy usernames, no chat features or friend lists, and parents have the option to enable the feature for a player that allows a child to move alone against competition controlled by computer. The game, by Prague-based mobile developer About Fun, features Bell and Tohn replaying their roles in an educational musical game designed for preschoolers. His mini-games include lessons on how to play bongo and piano, how to read scores and basic musical concepts such as duet. Unlike Super Spy Ryan, Do, Re & Mi does not have a specific release date as of this writing and is scheduled to be released in the Apple App Store at an unspecified location in the near future.
