At 4:10 p.m. on Monday a notice was sent to university staff and students, telling everyone at the College of St. Thomas More to evacuate immediately. Saskatoon police say they received “information regarding a threat of a possible explosive device” around 4 p.m. The Australian spokeswoman said around 4:45 p.m. that the building had been safely evacuated. Posts on social media later said the evacuation had spread to other nearby buildings on campus. #usask has now emailed faculty and staff saying there was an IED threat received just after 4pm (and now evacuating other nearby buildings).
