(Immediate Action Everywhere / Provided) MINAPOLIS – A woman had to be led off the floor at the Target Center during the Minnesota Timberwolves play-in on Tuesday night after apparently trying to get stuck on the baseline under a basket. The incident happened during the second ten minutes, as the Timberwolves were trying to recover from a slow start. The Timberwolves must beat the Clippers to beat No. 7 in the Western Conference playoffs, otherwise they will face either the Spurs or the Pelicans on Friday night with their season on the line. With about 3:34 left for the first half, a protester went to the floor and stuck her hand on the field. The woman, a protester featured in a press release as Alicia Santurio, was wearing a shirt that read, “Glen Taylor Bakes Live Animals.” He was protesting the mass killing of chickens at Rembrandt Enterprises, an egg farm in Taylor, Iowa. The woman was quickly led off the floor by at least two police officers. The game had to be stopped for a few minutes as Target Center staff worked to clear up the mess. The Timberwolves issued a statement about the incident in the second half of Tuesday’s match. The incident led to plenty of “stuck” jokes on social media.
