Group of severe weather conditions 2 says all of Northern Georgia is at Level 3 risk for strong thunderstorms all day Wednesday. “Tomorrow, there will be a series of intense weather phenomena”, Chief meteorologist Glenn Burns of Group 2 for severe weather he said. Burns said Wednesday’s storms would pose another major threat to tornadoes. Here’s what you need to know:

Early in the morning there will be isolated rains throughout the southern part of the metro. About 3 p.m. storms will begin to form south of I-20 in the southern subway with heating during the day. These storms will disappear around 6 p.m. A cold front will start moving towards the state around 8 p.m. and a series of thunderstorms will form in front of it, affecting the subway around 11 p.m.

Burns said that although the serious threat is higher for Wednesday, there is less chance of widespread coverage by storms. The high temperature throughout the metro is expected to be around 80 degrees, pouring oil on the storms. RELATED NEWS: © 2022 Cox Media Group
