We gave the 9th generation iPad a rating of 86 in 2021. Yes, it has a tired design that Apple has not updated in years, but there is still a lot to like about the tablet. It performs well with Apple’s built-in A13 Bionic chip that powers everything, including the updated 12-megapixel wide-angle camera that comes with the company’s “Center Stage” function for enhanced video calling. Battery life is also stable, with the tablet being able to last more than 10 hours on a single charge. The main disadvantages of the 10.2-inch iPad are that it does not have a USB-C port and you are stuck using the first-generation Apple Pencil – which you charge by plugging it into the Lightning port on the tablet. That said, if all you need is a device to browse the web, read and watch video content, it’s hard to go wrong with the 10.2-inch iPad.
