Based on the success of the last two years of virtual events, WWDC22 will showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and tvOS, while giving developers access to Apple engineers and technologies to learn how to build innovative applications and interactive experiences, the announcement said. “At its heart, WWDC has always been a forum for networking and community building,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Global Developer Relationships and Corporate and Educational Marketing. “In this spirit, WWDC22 invites developers from around the world to come together to explore how to bring their best ideas to life and to promote the best of what they can.” In addition to the keynote addresses and presentations on the state of the Union, this year’s program will also include more information sessions, more cutting-edge workshops, more digital lounges to interact with participants and more local content to become WWDC22 truly global event, according to Apple. For the third year, Apple will also support students who love to code with the Swift Student Challenge. For this year’s challenge, students from around the world are invited to create a Swift Playgrounds application project on a theme of their choice and can submit their work by April 25th.
