The incident is happening in the 1000 block of Star Glade, off of Potranco Road.
Deputies were initially called to the area after receiving a call for family violence, claiming a 22-year-old man was assaulting his father.
The man was barricaded inside of the home when deputies arrived. Negotiators tried to get in contact with the man but they were unsuccessful, according to the sheriff’s office.
After several hours of trying to make contact with the man, deputies left the area and determined there was no threat to the neighborhood.
Then, around 2 p.m., the sheriff’s office was notified again of the same man walking outside of the home with a weapon. Deputies said the man later went inside the home, still armed, and is hiding from authorities.

The BCSO, along with SWAT, are trying to get the man to peacefully exit the home.
Residents will continue to be evacuated until “a peaceful resolution has been made,” officials said.
KSAT 12 has a crew on the scene and we are working to learn more. We’ll bring more updates as they become available.
