The following symptoms of previous COVID-19 strains are not seen in cases of BA.2:

How can I protect myself from the BA.2 variant?
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), get vaccinated if you are 5 years old or older and have not had your initial vaccination series. If you are 12 years of age or older, the CDC recommends a booster vaccine if appropriate. People 50 and older who have a weakened immune system can also get a second booster vaccine.
