Samuel Chukwueze scored a draw in a draw as Villarreal stunned Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in 16 years. Unai Emery was the mastermind of the first 1-0 match in Spain, but the dominant Bayern seemed to be in control when Robert Lewandowski broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute at the Allianz Arena. But with his team’s second shot on both feet, Chukwueze equalized on the break in the 88th minute to give Villarreal the overall lead – and give them a historic victory against the six-time European champions. He will face the winner of Liverpool against Benfica in the last four, a match that Jürgen Klopp’s team is currently leading 3-1 overall. More to come.
