Mr. Biden has recently struggled to increase his bad position in opinion polls, and there are serious concerns that apathy and frustration among Democratic voters could open the door to Republicans in this year’s midterm elections. Obama says that in order to win the midterm elections, Democrats have a story to say, “they just have to tell it.” In the Capitol, meanwhile, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 11-11 yesterday to nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. The result will not prevent Ms. Jackson’s candidacy from the Senate. She already seems to have the support of 53 senators, with Republicans Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Mitt Romney breaking all ranks to support her.
