BRATLEBORO, Vermont — The body of a missing 23-year-old Massachusetts woman was found Tuesday in Vermont, authorities said. Investigators working to identify Mary Anderson, of Harvard, found her body in a pickup truck in Brattleboro, Vermont police said. The vehicle was searched in connection with her disappearance. Police are now seeking Anderson’s ex-boyfriend, 34-year-old Matthew Davis, of Fitchburg, for questioning in connection with the death investigation. Anderson’s family told Boston 25 News that she was hanging out with friends in Hudson, New Hampshire. She was last seen on Saturday night at around 10.30pm, her family added that they suspect foul play was involved in her disappearance. “He was never absent. That’s very different from her,” Mary’s mother, Sheila Anderson, said Monday. Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office are assisting the Vermont State Police in the investigation. Anyone with information on Davis’ whereabouts is asked to call their local police department or the Vermont State Police in Westminster at 802-722-4600.
