December 1, 2021

Following the outbreak of the Mirror’s first story about Christmas parties on Downing Street, Johnson responded to Labor leader Kir Starmer, who had asked if there had been a No. 10 party on December 18, 2020. Speaking to the questions of the Prime Minister, he said: What I can say to the right honorable and learned gentleman is that all the instructions were fully followed in No. 10.

December 2, 2021

Asked by Sky News why he would not comment on the allegations, Johnson said: Because I also told you what I want to repeat… that guidance exists and I am very, very willing for people to understand.

December 8, 2021

After footage was released of Allegra Stratton joking about a Christmas party, Johnson told the Commons: I repeat that I have repeatedly been assured since these allegations emerged that there was no party and that Covid rules were not violated.

December 13, 2021

When asked again about the alleged Downing Street parties by Sky News, Johnson replied: I can tell you once again that I certainly did not break any rules; all that is being examined.

After the Guardian revealed photos of people, including the prime minister, having drinks in the Downing Street garden on May 15, 2020, Johnson said: They were people at work, talking about work. I have said what I have to say about this.

January 12, 2022

The Prime Minister apologized to the parliament and admitted that he participated in a rally, but at this point he continued to emphasize that he considered it a “work event”. He said: I tacitly thought this was a work event, but in retrospect, I should have sent them all back.
