Peel District Police report that just before 12:30 a.m. Sunday, a man loaded his 10-month-old baby into an SUV parked on the road and returned home to pick up his second child and take it bring to the car.
Surveillance video posted on the internet shows a man dressed in black wearing a mask getting out of a black car parked on the road and approaching the driver’s door from the driver’s side.
When the father shows up with his second child, he quickly notices the strange man in the seat of his SUV driver and while holding his eldest child in his arms, he opens the passenger side door to face him.
The suspect throws the car in the back, sending it to roll on the road with the father – and his child – on the path of the open side door of the passenger.
The father then turns to the driver’s door and the suspect walks back to the waiting escape vehicle.
Still locked, the SUV crawls slowly down the street and knocks on the garage door of the house.
Police say no one was injured in the incident and are working to locate the suspect.
