In an official blog post, Clubhouse says the dark mode was a long-awaited feature for its users. The company even confirmed that it was aware of modifications and mock-ups created to show how many users were waiting for an option to switch to a darker interface. Now the wait is over – or almost over. The Clubhouse app for iOS and Android will now offer support for dark mode and will basically work like any other app that already offers such a feature. We have heard your appeals. We have located your tweets. We saw your violated solutions and ridiculed versions of the UI of your dreams. And while it may have taken us longer than what would be considered “fast” or “reasonable” or “not at all acceptable by human standards”, the wait is finally over. Today, we begin to have the dark Clubhouse feature throughout its moody, non-dazzling-you-at-3-am. However, instead of a completely black interface, Clubhouse in dark mode will have a “velvety dark background” with light text, but not exactly white. According to the platform, this combination is intended to make the application more comfortable for those who use it at night. Users can choose to turn on the dark mode based on the device settings or just leave the dark mode always on. To get dark mode support, make sure you have the latest version of Clubhouse installed on your phone. Even so, the Clubhouse notes that it will take “a few days” until the opportunity arises for everyone.
