The number of patients in hospitals with COVID-19 across the province has risen from a total of 1,135 on Friday. Of those treated, 45 percent were admitted for COVID-19 and 55 percent were positive after admission for a different reason.

At least 779 patients are fully vaccinated, 171 are unvaccinated and 44 are partially vaccinated. The vaccination status of the other patients is unknown. There are currently 168 ICU patients, 64% of whom were admitted due to COVID-19 infection while the remaining 36 percent were positive after the event. Sixty-three of these patients are fully vaccinated, 28 are unvaccinated and two are partially vaccinated. No other vaccination information has been released. The county said it had conducted 18,678 COVID-19 tests in the past 24 hours, which they said generated a positive rate of 18.4 percent. Of those tested, 3,797 positive cases were identified, although limited access to PCR testing across the province means that number is underestimated. The 11 net new deaths recorded on Saturday raised the death toll from COVID-19 in Ontario to 12,548. So far, the province has seen 1,192,437 laboratory-confirmed cases of the new coronavirus since the pandemic began. At the same time, 1,149,833 people have recovered since being tested positive for the virus.
