Jack Richardson was one of a gang of six men arrested for large-scale cocaine and cannabis trafficking and was the last to be convicted of his role in the criminal operation. Police first received information in November 2019 that Richardson, from Epsom, was orchestrating a drug supply network. He procured the drugs in Liverpool and then released them at his base in Surrey and beyond. But the 32-year-old did not seem to do the job for himself, instead relying on an organized network of traders and runners. Surrey police said he then “spent the spoils of his illegal operation on a rich lifestyle”, including renovations to his luxury home, a car collection and a trip to Turkey where he bought a new hairline and extensive dental work. Drug runners Adam Carter and George Summersby were arrested at Warwick while on a drug charge in Liverpool. They were found together with a kilo of cocaine worth 100,000 pounds. However, Richardson remained the main target of the police. Surrey police investigators eventually located him carrying two carrying bags, which he later handed over to another man as part of a suspected drug deal. In return, the man gave Richardson a large heavy hold. After a foot chase, police searched Richardson and found two car keys. One of the keys was to a Vauxhall Astra from which Richardson had taken the carrying bags. When police searched the car, they found 9 479,650 in cash in the boot and κο 156,900 worth of cocaine. The other man involved in the deal was also located and arrested by Derbyshire police, who found the carrying bags in the car containing nearly .000 20,000 and a pound of cannabis. The large case that the man gave to Richardson was also found as he was thrown out of the window of an Epsom apartment linked to another member of the drug gang, Charles Hall. The case contained cannabis worth over 45,000 pounds. Hall’s DNA was found in the closet and when examined by experts, his phone records strongly suggested that he was also a player in the drug supply network. Finally, Mick Carter, who was Adam Carter’s “holiday cover” as a drug courier, connected with the company via his text messages and was arrested while doing his job as a gardener. All five members of the drug gang were sentenced to prison terms for their role in the crime ring.

Investigating Detective Martin O’Neill of the Surrey Police Precautionary Investigation Team said: The organized crime gang knows we knew exactly what they were doing. “It took a lot of hard work and a long and painstaking investigation to get to this point, so it ‘s really nice to see everyone involved face a prison sentence. “Unfortunately for him, the only people who will admire Jack Richardson’s cosmetic improvements for the next eleven years will be his inmates.” Read more related articles Read more related articles
