The Lambton OPP has charged a 30-year-old Brampton driver with careless driving following an accident earlier this week on the 402 motorway approaching the Blue Water Bridge. Sarnia Police, Fire and Rescue and Lambton EMS responded to the lanes heading west, just west of Indian Road around 7am on Tuesday. Officers found that the accident involved several commercial vehicles, some of which stopped waiting to cross the international stage. One driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries but is not life threatening. The highway was closed or reduced to a lane for almost 12 hours as the vehicles were removed and the road cleared of debris. OPP reminds drivers to pay attention to traffic and road conditions and to ensure that driving is their main focus.
