Photo: Madison Erhardt The high price of gasoline may have been the basis of a Kelowna RCMP investigation early Wednesday morning that ended at Highway 33 near Pyman Rd. Kelowna RCMP tells Castanet they were called to a construction site after the gas theft shortly before 4 a.m. Wednesday. The suspects fled the scene and drove to Joe Rich. The suspect vehicle was a U-Haul that fled the scene and stopped in the area of Highway 33 and Pyman Rd. where three occupants then escaped on foot. “Front-line officers, assisted by dog police services, arrested the suspects, a 35-year-old and a 39-year-old. The men face possible charges of being arrested for stealing less than $ 5,000.00 and fleeing from police,” a spokesman said. RCMP Cpl. Tammy Lobb.
