ORIGINAL 11:18 am Emergency crews gathered at the yacht club in downtown Kelowna Wednesday morning. Reports indicate that an elderly man was swimming near the Paul’s Tomb Trail, near the base of Mount Knox, when he suffered a medical problem. Rescue crews were alerted and arrived on scene to begin resuscitation, including chest compressions. It is unclear at this point if this is the result of a medical emergency or drowning. Castanet has a reporter on scene who says the patient is being taken to the boat launch by rescue crews and taken from there to Kelowna General Hospital. This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
