He told his 28-year-old son Gareth that he had trouble sleeping and was looking to go to the store.  The niece of Civil Servant Carla Saunders, 44, of Newport, said his disappearance from his home in the West Cross was completely misplaced.

He said: “David was living with his son and last saw him at 5.30pm. of 1 April. He left and went to his girlfriend for the night. [David] he later said he was having trouble sleeping and his son suggested he have hot chocolates and cookies. He called his dad and he could not hold him. “ There is no trace of the 58-year-old from Newport (Image: Carla Saunders) He added: “Gareth and his girlfriend returned home and he was nowhere to be seen. His phone was still there, but his jacket, his keys were with him. The dog was relaxed at home and was unusual. They called the police as David suffered from mental health problems and has been doing so since he was a teenager. “The police got into his car and searched the vehicle and checked that it was not in the trunk. They searched 300 meters in alleys and hangars and helicopters came out and the port authorities came out. “Every day the police conduct their searches and bring detective dogs. There is no trace of it. He is just begging for the belief that someone can disappear and that there is no CCTV video. He really is not like him. There is no way he can go far. “We are worried that someone did something to him.” Carla said, as David is diabetic, he is prone to low blood sugar and could lead to coma. He said there was no indication he would disappear. “David had gone out to honor a rug for the living room and had put his medicine in for the morning,” he added. A statement from South Wales police said: “David was reported missing from his home in West Cross and last seen yesterday (April 1). Described as 5 feet 11”, slender, white, short, thin hair, stalks and freckles. He is wearing glasses and is probably wearing a blue coat with a red lining on the zipper “. Have you seen Mr. Stewart?
