Earlier in the day, Scottish police confirmed that they had launched an investigation into the murder of John Paul Duffy.
The 51-year-old’s body was found in an apartment on Coats Street in Coatbridge on Sunday. A 46-year-old man was arrested for the death. Since then, tributes have been made to the Celtic fan. One person wrote: “Heartbreaking. “I hope you are calm now that Ji will never forget you.” Another commented: “RIP jp”. As part of their ongoing search for the body, police officers were present at a property near Calder Street around 5:35 p.m. last night. The body of a woman was also found there and her death is currently being treated as unspecified. No official identification has been made yet, however police have confirmed that the deaths are being treated as linked.
