The ground has officially broken into Kelowna’s largest and tallest residential development. Water Street by the Park is a development of three multi-phase towers next to Kelowna City Park in the heart of downtown Kelowna. “We have 650 homes along with retail. We have some commercials, we have a little bit of everything and 42,000 square feet of amenities to combine with a world-class view from around 360. Everyone has an opinion on something,” said co-founder Anthony Beyrouti. The first phase of development, along the north side of Leon’s 200 plot, includes the 42-storey Eli building. It is expected to be completed sometime in 2025. “Eli will be the tallest tower between Surrey and Calgary, which we are very excited about,” Beirut said. Eli was named after her son Beirut. The plot was bought four years ago by the August family. “We drew some nice paintings, we took it to the city council back and forth and the mayor supported us from the beginning and we ended up voting 7 to 2, approving the buildings, so it is very exciting.” added Beirut. The units started in the $ 300,000 range and sold out quickly. Amenities include weight training, dog washing, dog running, a swimming pool, two hot tubs, fires, art studios, a theater, a golf simulator and a sauna. “Anything we could think of, we put it here, so that the 42,000 square feet is probably incomparable in the history of the city. We wanted to get what you could possibly want and we tried to put it into action.” For more information, you can visit
