The starting lineup averages 26.8 years, with only two players – O’Hara (33) and Naeher (33) – over 30. Five players – Cook (24), Pugh (23), Fox (23), Macario (22) and Smith (21) – are under 25 years old.

The lineup has an average of 57 entries per player with O’Hara (151) and Horan (109) the players with the most entries on this roster and in the camp overall. All six champions of the 2019 World Cup who were called up to the training camp in April are in this starting lineup. Cook is the only player in the squad with a single digit number of entries.

Vlatko Andonovski was the coach and won his first match against USWNT in Columbus, Ohio, a 3-2 victory over Sweden on November 7, 2019. Four players from Andonovski’s top eleven in USWNT history are in tonight’s eleven at Columbus: Naeher, Dahlkemper, Horan and Lavelle.

Defender Kelley O’Hara will win her 151st appearance overall as she will lead the United States for the third time in 2022 and for the fourth time in her 13-year career with the USWNT. O’Hara played 90 minutes in five of her last six USWNT outings.

Goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher will win her 80th international appearance as she makes her second start in 2022 for the USWNT. Naeher is just the third goalkeeper and 46th USWNT player to reach 80 appearances. She has 46 shutouts in 79 of her previous international appearances, the highest shutout rate of any goalkeeper in USWNT history with 25 or more appearances.

Naeher returned to the field on February 20 and recorded a shutout in her first match for club or country in 202 days after a serious knee injury in the Olympic semifinal on August 2, 2021, when she was forced to leave the match in the 30th minute.

Abby Dahlkemper will see her first action of the year with the USWNT as she wins her 78th entry overall. The Dahlkemper, who missed the 2022 SheBelieves Cup due to a back injury, will now have started in 70 of the 78 appearances in her career.

Mallory Pugh, who led the United States to three goals in the 2022 SheBelieves Cup, will make her third start in 2022 as she wins her 71st career appearance. After scoring two goals and one assist against Iceland in its last action for the USWNT, Pugh now has 21 international goals and 21 international assists. The 23-year-old Pugh is just the 24th player in USWNT history with 20+ goals and 20+ assists, and just the eighth to reach the 20/20 milestone before the age of 25.

Lindsey Horan is set to earn her 109th cover overall as she makes her USWNT debut in 2022. Horan lost the 2022 SheBelieves Cup during her recovery from a knee problem, but has since returned to action for her new team, Olympique Lyon. The Best Female Soccer Player in the USA for 2021, Horan is the top career scorer on this roster with 25 international goals and is also at the top of this roster with 33 international assists.

Sophia Smith will make her fourth consecutive start as she wins her 14th overall for the USWNT. One of five players to start each game in the SheBelieves Cup 2022, Smith is the youngest player in this starting lineup at 21 and has one goal and three assists in her previous 13 appearances.

Alana Cook will start her sixth consecutive race for the USWNT as she wins her eighth overall appearance. Cook leads the USWNT in minutes played in 2022 with 226, playing all but four minutes in the SheBelieves Cup 2022.

Cook’s first camp with the USWNT began in Columbus in November 2019 in what was also Andonovksi’s first event. She earned her first appearance at the end of this camp, playing 90 minutes in a 6-0 win over Costa Rica on November 10, 2019, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Rose Lavelle of Ohio will win her 70th USWNT appearance as she makes her second appearance in 2022. Lavelle, who becomes the 52nd USWNT player to reach 70 appearances, will now appear in 34 games under her leadership coach Vlatko Andonovski, most any player in his tenure with the US.

This will be Lavelle’s sixth game with the USWNT in her home state of Ohio and the first since scoring one goal and counting three assists against Paraguay on September 21, 2021 in her hometown of Cincinnati.

Andy Sullivan will start for the ninth time in the last 10 US races, as she makes her 26th career for the USWNT. Sullivan, who only appeared in one match in 2020, has played 90 minutes in four of her last eight US appearances.

Emily Fox will make her seventh consecutive start and win a total of 12th cap for the USWNT. Fox will now appear in every game played by the United States from the FIFA window of October 2021, the only USWNT player to appear in all eight games during that period.

Catarina Macario will make her fourth start of the year, winning her 16th overall for the USWNT. The 22-year-old Makarios scored twice and had one assist in the SheBelieves Cup final against Iceland on 23 February and was named MVP of the Visa SheBelieves Cup. Starting with that match against Iceland, Makario has seven goals in his last six games in total for team and country.
