At 22:30 on Friday, April 19, 2019, police monitored reports of a car crash involving a pedestrian on Broad Street in Rotherham. The pedestrian and the victim, 30-year-old Adam Cumpsty from Rotherham, were unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
