Commenting on the reports this week, Kuo said that the charger components are “approaching mass production”, estimating that Apple could send 2-3 million of the new device. The leak comes through a support document that Apple briefly posted and then did not publish on its website. The document stated: Use the Apple 35W dual-port USB-C power adapter and a USB-C cable (not included) to charge your device. Plug a USB-C cable into any port on the power adapter, extend the electrical outlets (if needed), and then plug the power supply firmly into an electrical outlet. Make sure the socket is easily accessible for disconnection. Connect the other end of the cable to your device. The document confirms that Apple has its own dual-port USB-C charger in the works. The device will most likely be marketed as a charging solution for its best iPhone and iPad. 35 W should be enough power to charge both an iPad and an iPhone at the same time. Although the charger is USB-C, it still allows you to charge your iPhone using a USB-C cable in Lightning, which is now available with the iPhone 13 as standard. Apple currently only offers single watt chargers in the watt range for its products, up to 140 W for the MacBook Pro (2021).
