James Howard Jackson was being held for attempted murder but was released from a Los Angeles jail “due to a graphic error,” the sheriff’s office said. The 19-year-old is now wanted by the sheriff’s major crime office. Prosecutors say Jackson and two other alleged gang members went out in search of expensive French bulldogs to steal on February 24 last year. They then located, stole and robbed Ryan Fischer as he was walking the dogs belonging to Lady Gaga near Sunset Boulevard, allegedly. Image: Ryan Fisher lost part of his lung after the attack. The video recorded the dog walker screaming “My God! I was shot!” and “Help me!” and “I’m bleeding from my chest!” The dramatic incident saw Fischer lose part of his lung. Reacting to Jackson’s mistaken release, Fisher said in a statement to KABC-TV: “Although I am deeply concerned about the events leading up to his release, I am confident that law enforcement will correct the mistake. “I ask Mr. Jackson to surrender to the authorities, so the resolution of the crime committed against me has its way, whatever the outcome of the courts.” Read more: Lady Gaga says her heart is sick after violent dog theft Gaga’s dogs were returned two days after they were stolen by a woman who claimed to have found them tied to a pole.
