Police confirmed that they were called to Lavan Close, Everton, around 11:30 pm on Sunday, April 10. A 36-year-old man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds but died shortly afterwards. Two people, a 60-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from Liverpool, were later arrested on suspicion of murder. Lavan Close and the surrounding area are currently closed as crime scene investigators conduct forensic examinations at the scene.
