Loblaw Companies Ltd. says brands like Cheetos, Doritos and Ruffles will be back on store shelves by Easter weekend after the issue with Frito-Lay Canada was resolved. Loblaw spokeswoman Catherine Thomas declined to comment on specific negotiations with suppliers, but said the issue was about providing value to customers. He says the grocery store is happy to have a wider variety of chip aisles once again at different prices to suit customers’ needs. Thomas says the products will start shipping on Monday and Loblaw expects to be fully stocked before the weekend. Frito-Lay spokeswoman Sheri Morgan confirmed that the company had resolved reciprocal issues with one of its retail partners. He says Frito-Lay is committed to Canada’s production and operations and looks forward to resuming shore-to-coast distribution in the coming days.
