Police were called to an alley in the 300 building block of 16th Avenue NW around 8:30 p.m. April 1, after the perpetrators allegedly fired multiple bullets at a parked vehicle and then fled in a vehicle east on 16th Avenue toward the Edmonton Trail NE The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and a short time later was pronounced dead. It marks the ninth homicide in Calgary so far this year. After an autopsy on Tuesday, the victim was identified as Majed Ahmed Zulfiqar, 26, from Calgary.
