Fishermen spotted Adrian Peter Chesters, 46, and Alexia Alexandra Molina, 18, at around 1am on Friday – a long way south of where they disappeared. “Both men… are reported to be in stable condition,” said Mersing District Police Chief Cyril Edward Nuing, who added that they had been taken to hospital. Rescuers are still searching for Mr. Chesters’s 14-year-old son, Nathan. Authorities have now expanded the research area and deployed two planes, 18 boats and about 90 personnel. Mr Chesters, his son and Molina were among four people missing Wednesday afternoon in a dive near Tokong Sanggol, a small island southeast of Mersing. The team’s coach, Kristin Grondem, 35, from Norway, was rescued on Thursday. Read more: The missing divers surfaced before being swept away, says the survivor Image: Kristine Grodem, 35, rescued. Mr Chesters said his 14-year-old son, Nathan Renze Chesters, had died at sea, according to the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency. His body has not yet been retrieved and Indonesian authorities are now investigating. “We believe that there is a strong possibility that he is no longer in Malaysian waters based on the movement of the sea currents, as well as the time and place where the other victims were found,” Mr Nuing said.
