At around 7pm, police said a 2019 blue Chevrolet Camaro and an unidentified red car were spotted speeding east in Whitemud. As vehicles approached 53 Avenue off the ramp, police said the Camaro veered off the road, crashed into a light pole and landed on its roof. The 22-year-old man driving the Camaro was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. “Speeds are unfortunately high on all our main corridors in the city, but with spring in the air, the speeds seen by traffic service members are completely dangerous and put the public at risk,” Insp.
