In a tweet Thursday afternoon, Toronto police said police received reports that someone had been shot outside Sherbourne Tube Station.

Speaking at a press conference, Toronto police. Richard Harris said officers received the call shortly after 5 p.m. He said police had located the victim who had suffered “multiple gunshot wounds”. Harris said that before police arrived at the scene, an off-duty ambulance that happened to be in the area had provided first aid. The victim was then transported in critical condition to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
