The collision took place on Bradford Road in Pudsey, just before 14:30 yesterday. A black BMW M2 collided with a pedestrian crossing the road after getting off a bus. The pedestrian, who was around 20, was given first aid and medical care but unfortunately died on the spot. The male driver of the M2 was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The driver of a gray BMW X5, believed to be traveling alongside the M2, was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both are currently in custody. Police are now calling for post-conflict information and the Large Conflict Investigation Team (MCET) would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident. DS Fiona Allan, of MCET, said: “We are continuing to investigate this very serious conflict that tragically resulted in a young man losing his life. “We would like to talk to anyone who saw or has video from the phone or the dashboard of the collision or who saw the BMW M2 and BMW X5 moments before the collision. “Anyone with material or information is kindly requested to contact MCET at 101, citing the April 11, 0896 police calendar. “Information can also be obtained online at www.westyorkshire.police.uk/101livechat.”
