Maryland police have released a video of four people allegedly attacking an elderly citizen and trying to steal her car. Four suspects approached a female victim on March 29 at 6:40 p.m. in the Capitol Heights area as he arrived home after work, according to Prince George County Police Department. Police say the suspects pushed the elderly citizen to the ground, asking her to give them the keys to her car. Authorities said they searched her pockets and confiscated some of her belongings. After taking the car keys, the suspects started running. The female victim ran to a neighbor’s house, but one of the suspects allegedly confronted her, resulting in the victim suffering two broken bones, according to police. The woman is heard screaming “help me” throughout the video. Prince George’s County Police Chief Malik Aziz described the incident as “very sick” and “worrying.” “The shameless act of violence is very painful and embarrassing for me and everyone who watched the video. Our seniors deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and not to be violently attacked in our peaceful neighborhoods,” Aziz said. Aziz is asking the public for help in locating the suspects and is currently being offered a cash reward of up to $ 2,500.
