It was not the typical start of a Saturday morning in April. Mother Nature brought some unrest to Okanagan in the early hours of the morning. Light snow fell in areas of Kelowna, Penticton and Kamloops. Heavy hail followed for several minutes shortly after 11 a.m. Environment Canada forecasts a 60 percent chance of light storms ending this afternoon with rain expected to continue for the rest of the day and a risk of thunderstorms late this afternoon. Early Sunday morning, Okanagan residents could see snow falling once again. On Sunday there will be a 40% chance of thunderstorms early in the morning and a 40% chance of rain late in the afternoon.
