Firefighters who responded to reports of smoke at 36th Street Station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found several people shot as well as unexploded ordnance, a spokesman for the fire department said. The fire department told CBC News in an email that a total of 13 people were injured, but it was not immediately clear how many people were shot or the specific nature of their injuries. According to a law enforcement source who was informed of the investigation, the first information showed that a suspect was dressed in construction. A photo from the spot showed people caring for bloodied passengers lying on the station floor. More details were not immediately available. New York police said they were responding to reports of injuries from either fire or explosion. The NYPD tweeted that they had not found “active explosive devices”. Trains serving this station were delayed during rush hour. As for the many people who were shot at the 36th Street subway station in Brooklyn, there are NO active explosive devices at this time.
