A 58-year-old man was taken to Princess Royal Hospital in critical condition after the incident at Westerdale Close, in the Doseley area of Telford, around 8pm on Tuesday 5 April. West Mercia police said Monday that the man died tragically afterwards and renewed the call for information on the “serious incident”. Police on the scene arrested a 44-year-old man from Telford on suspicion of attempted murder and he was released on bail. Detective Sergeant Christopher Henry said: “Anyone who saw, immortalized on a dashboard or CCTV, or heard anything that might help the police, please contact us.” Speaking last week after the man was found, a spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said crews had found two men at the scene. “The first man was in critical condition, received treatment on the spot and was taken to hospital for further treatment,” they said. “The second man had probably suffered serious injuries, received treatment on the spot and was taken to hospital for further evaluation.” Anyone with information can call DS Henry on 01952 214735 or email [email protected] Alternatively, use the West Mercia Police website to report incident 580 on April 5 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
