Developers Naughty Dog sat down to talk about improvements to The Last Of Us remake. Details about The Last Of Us Part 1’s features were released earlier this week, but more and more began to appear online yesterday. The leaks showed the game’s intro, controls and accessibility options, and combat. Needless to say, Naughty Dog wasn’t too happy about information about the game finding its way into the wild. Naughty Dog VP Arne Meyer tweeted that the leaks “really suck” when he shared the new video. “Especially when we’re right on the cusp of an asset crash,” Meyer continued. “It’s disappointing and frustrating for the teams that have put their hearts into it [into] to do great things for our fans.” Naughty Dog senior editor Samuel Prince shared a similar sentiment. “Since this is getting some attention, I just want to say that leaks suck,” Prince said, “It’s extremely damaging to the developers who work tirelessly to bring you these great games. Public assets take a long time to be created, reviewed, approved, identified, legally cleared, ESRB etc. Be kind!’ While The Last Of Us Part 1 will initially launch on PlayStation 5, it was also confirmed for PC during June’s Summer Game Fest. Some of the features shown in the new video from Naughty Dog are PlayStation-specific, but we can imagine that most of the AI updates and fresh features will make it to the PC version. I’m especially looking forward to the photo mode so I can take lots of artistic shots of fungi. The Last Of Us Part 1 remake will be released on PC at a future date, but will be released on PS5 on September 2nd.
