UPDATE: 4 p.m. According to a BC RCMP spokesperson, one man has been arrested under the Mental Health Act following this morning’s incident in Lumby. RCMP say the incident happened at Trinity Valley Road north between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Police say the man was apprehended and taken to hospital. The Vernon North Okanagan detachment is expected to provide more details shortly. ORIGIANL: 11:45 a.m. A police incident appears to be underway somewhere north of Lumby Sunday morning. Castanet has received multiple unconfirmed reports that a number of RCMP Emergency Response Team vehicles raced towards Bobbie Burns Road off Trinity Valley Road north of Lumby Sunday morning. Police have reportedly laid out a spike belt in the area, and police have also closed Trinity Valley Road at the Enderby end of the road as well.
