Penticton Search and Rescue evacuated an injured mountain biker from Nkwala Mountain Sunday. PENSAR was called at 12 p.m. to help EMS after a 52-year-old man rode a mountain bike when he had an incident and suffered head and chest injuries. “Nine members responded to the call using 2 Side by sides and the Jeep rescue vehicle. The man was evacuated under the mountain and handed over to ambulance crews in western Penticton,” a statement on PENSAR’s Facebook page said. Search and Rescue says they completed the work by 3:00 p.m. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
