They got the call at 8:46 a.m. on Tuesday. The Toronto Paramedic Services and Toronto Fire were also on stage in the Deer Park neighborhood for the discovery a few meters south of Mount Pleasant Cemetary. The body was found in the water near a footpath that descends to the east of Heath St. E. This staircase leads to the ravine and the David A. Balfour Park Trail. Police said the man, who has not yet been publicly identified, was dead. A vehicle of the Marine Police Unit was at the scene, as was a van from the medical examiner’s office. Sorry, but this video failed to load. Investigators had filmed part of the ravine as a team searched the body and the surrounding wooded area. “Is he a man or a woman?” asked a man who went for a walk with his dog but found access to the ravine from the stairs blocked by a yellow police tape. Police and investigators cleared the scene shortly after the unidentified man was removed shortly after noon.
