Calgary police have issued a nationwide warrant for a former Hells Angels associate wanted in connection with the death of a 23-year-old Calgary mother last week.

Police were called to the 300 block of Templeview Drive NE last Thursday around 7:15 p.m. following reports of shootings. They arrived to find an unconscious woman with a medical problem. She later died of her injuries. The victim was identified as Jamie Lynn Seibel. Police have now issued a second-degree murder warrant for 37-year-old Gerald Russell Fromt. Described as six feet two inches tall, weighing 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police say they believe the victim and the accused recently had an affair. “We believe this is a domestic-motivated homicide,” said Staff Sgt. Martin Schiaveta with the Calgary Police Homicide Unit. “This is a tragic death and we ask the public to help us locate Frommelt to bring justice to Jamie’s family.”

The CPS confirmed that Frommelt was known to police, but did not comment on any previous interactions they had with him. According to court documents, he has had many clashes with the police in the last 13 years. Fromelt was one of 35 people arrested in a police raid with Hells Angels associates in Winnipeg in 2009. He was sentenced the following year to six and a half years in prison after pleading guilty to cocaine trafficking, conspiracy and money laundering. crime. Most recently, Frommelt was sentenced in late March 2019 to six months in prison for possession of a firearm for dangerous purposes.
