The police arrested three people after “a number of incidents of violence” and a knife references near a feast in the communion in South London. Officers went to the Blackheath Common on Tuesday afternoon for a series of attacks and a knife reported. No knife was found, the Met said. A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating reports of anti-social behavior and a number of attacks in Greenwich Park. “A knife has also been reported. no victim was found. “ They added: “Three people were arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and related offenses.” Officers have enforced an order from Department 60 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, which gives officers additional investigative powers. A witness Sean Ash, who had gone to the Common to take his children to the funfair, said there were hundreds of children in the green space and scenes of disorder. “When I arrived, we saw a police van and there were hundreds of young people, all about fifteen, sixteen years old,” he told The Standard. “My son was in the back seat and he said, ‘They’re hitting the police.’ “A police helicopter came to the top, it is still there now.” The Greenwich’s council leader said he was aware of the disorder and made an “urgent appeal” to the municipality’s parents to contact their children if they did not know where they were. “If your child is in the #blackheath area – or you do not know where they are – call urgently. “Make sure they go home as soon as possible,” said Dan Thorpe. Local lawmaker Matthew Penicuk also urged locals to avoid the area. “The police are using extra resources,” he said. “Please avoid the area. “If you think your child is at the festival or in the area, ask him or her to return home immediately.” Council officials said the festival was now closed “due to riots”.
