Police said the robberies took place in an operation on the 600 block of Dakota Street between August 2021 and April 2022. The first robbery took place on August 9, when a suspect entered the store armed with a knife in his belt. The suspect allegedly stole cash and ran away from the area. The second robbery, which took place on November 22, saw the suspect wielding a knife before stealing money, police said. The third robbery took place on November 25 at around 2 p.m. Police said a female company employee was holding a knife to the suspect’s neck as he stole money. The employee was not physically injured. Police said the fourth robbery took place on Dec. 7 at about 10 p.m. The suspect allegedly entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money. The clerk refused and her suspect threw goods and fled. The final robbery took place on Thursday at around 12:30 p.m. The suspect allegedly entered the store carrying a knife, ran towards the worker, lowered her to the ground with a knife in his hand and threatened to stab her. The employee was not physically injured. Police said the suspect stole money and ran away from the scene and was arrested at a nearby house. The incident on Thursday prompted the Victor Mager school to enter into a commitment and insure for part of the day. A case was filed against the 13-year-old for five robberies, five for possession of a weapon, three for assault with a weapon and one for threats. The charges have not been proven in court. The teenager remains in custody.
