On April 10, around 1 a.m., police officers were called to set fire to a house on 7th Street SE. When police arrived at the scene, the fire brigade had already faced the fire and had entered the house and found three people dead inside. Police have identified the victims as a 32-year-old woman, a six-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy. RCMP says she was a mother to both of her children. Investigators determined that the injuries sustained were not related to the fire and said their death was confirmed as homicide. The RCMP said Trevis Mcleod had been charged with arson and three counts of second-degree murder. Both the RCMP and the Winnipeg Police Department are looking for Mcleod. He was last seen in Winnipeg on April 11 and 12 and police believe he is still in the area. If anyone has information about Mcleod or where it is located, they should call 911 immediately, adding that they should not approach it and it is considered dangerous. The charges against him have not been proven in court.
